Overview
We are seeking a skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all logistics functions, including transportation management, production planning, and materials management. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center and managing our relationships with third-party logistics providers.
Duties
- Acting as the main contact between the company and oversea factories.
- Oversee the management of all transportation and logistics activities, including negotiating rates and contracts with carriers
- Collaborate with production planning and materials management teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all supply chain operations and processes
- Review and pay all the freight related invoices
- Negotiate prices with suppliers and vendors
- Ensure that all logistics activities align with the company's strategic objectives and goals
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Develop and maintain detailed reports on logistics activities and performance
- Handle all kinds of special order with the oversea factories
- work with factory quality control department to help handle quality complains.
What you will need:
- Bachlor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Admin or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
- Proven ability to resolve customer problems, complaints and issues utilizing appropriate internal and external resources
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
