JEVS Care at Home (JCAH) is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization providing non-medical home care, respite, companionship and community integration support services to disabled and aging clients in the Greater Philadelphia, PA and Pittsburgh, PA regions. Our goal is to keep our clients as independent as possible, in the comfort of their own homes and communities. We are affiliated with JEVS Human Services (JHS), a $100 million not-for-profit agency established in 1941 in Philadelphia, PA. JHS has 1,000 employees and more than two dozen successful programs providing skills development, job readiness and career services, vocational rehabilitation, recovery services, adult and residential day services, and in-home personal assistance. About the Role
As the Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for staying current on all Homecare and Agency Licensure requirements and ensuring that JEVS Care at Home’s policies, procedures, and practices are in compliance with regulations.

Essential Functions Include:
Make Quality Personal: Demonstrate a passion for excellence and take pride in the quality of everything you touch and everything you do. Have a healthy dislike for mediocrity. Good is not good enough. Always ask yourself, “Is this my best work?”
- Stay current with state regulations and industry-related information to ensure 100% compliance with state licensure regulations and JCAH policies and procedures.
- Submit incident reports through HCSIS and DOH, within the established timeframe regulated by the state and MCO’s.
- Assist with reporting cases of abuse, neglect, and exploitation to AAA agencies and Adult Protective Services.
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service which supports our values of providing high quality home care while meeting the needs of the clients.
Get Clear on Expectations: Create clarity and avoid misunderstandings by discussing expectations upfront. Set expectations for others and ask when you’re not clear on what they expect of you. End all meetings with clarity about action items, responsibilities, and due dates.
- Assist with the development of policies and procedures as needed and determine corrective actions when necessary.
- Review approved intakes and upload into ImageNow.
Deliver Results: While effort is important, people expect results. Follow-up on everything and take responsibility to ensure that tasks get completed. Set high goals, use measurements to track your progress, and hold yourself accountable for achieving those results.
- Audit departments within JCAH to ensure quality and compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Review records in relation to investigation of problems including fraud, complaints, critical incidents, criminal activity, noncompliance with regulations, etc.
- Assist with the quarterly QMP narrative.
- Assist with reports for BPI, MA Provider Compliance following fraudulent investigation.
- Maintain conformance to CARF accreditation standards and related documentation/trainings.
About You
As a Compliance Specialist, you ensure that the organization remain and is up to date on all regulatory and licensing requirements in accordance with company, state, and federal regulations. You will demonstrate organizational skills, strong communication skills, be detailed oriented and can work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

- Ability to research and gather facts to determine outcomes

- Ability to understand and navigate complex delivery systems and databases.
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Associate’s degree preferred or at least 12 credits in Human Service Field and 1-3 years of related experience
- Experience working in homecare or healthcare industry preferred
- Strong written and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM Software
