Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant, Caregiver, and/or PCA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to medical staff and ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Maintain patient hygiene and comfort
- Transport patients to different departments within the facility
- Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
- Follow proper procedures for lifting and transferring patients safely
- Document patient information in medical records
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
Experience:
- Prior experience in patient care is preferred
- Familiarity with medical records management
- Knowledge of pediatric care practices is a plus
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or Emergency Medicine setting is beneficial
- Understanding of infectious disease care protocols
- Proficiency in anatomy knowledge for patient care procedures
- Familiarity with aseptic technique to prevent infections
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality
