Construction Manager - Fitness Center Project
Project Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our team in building a new fitness center. The successful candidate will be responsible for start of construction to completion. Ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the construction process, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure compliance with plans and specifications* Navigate inspections and permitting processes with local authorities* Review and understand electrical, mechanical, framing, structural, HVAC plans, and other relevant plans* Recruit and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements* Accumulate bids and choose the right subcontractors for the project* Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate risks* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment* Manage project close-out, including punch list and final inspections
Requirements:
5+ years of experience (preferable) in construction management, with a focus on tenant improvement projects* Proven experience in managing projects similar in size and scope to a fitness center build-out* Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and regulations* Excellent communication and leadership skills* Ability to work effectively with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other consultants. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills* Experience with construction management software and technology
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field* OSHA certification* Experience with fitness center construction or similar projects* Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
