HFI is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our IU Health Construction Team as a Project Accountant & Budget Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for managing project finances, tracking budgets, providing forecasting support, and compiling all contract costs to prepare invoices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
a. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the project.
b. Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions related to project activities.
c. Monitor project expenses and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Budget Control:
a. Develop and maintain project budgets in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
b. Track project expenditures against budgeted amounts and identify variances for timely resolution.
c. Provide proactive analysis and recommendations to control costs and optimize project resources.
Forecasting:
a. Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts for project budgets, expenses, and cash flow.
b. Analyze historical data and project trends to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
c. Collaborate with project teams to develop realistic forecasts and mitigate financial risks.
Cost Plus Contract Management:
a. Compile all costs associated with cost plus contracts, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead expenses.
b. Ensure compliance with contract terms and regulations governing cost plus contracts.
c. Calculate reimbursement amounts and prepare detailed invoices for submission to clients.
Collaboration:
a. Work closely with project execs, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to support project objectives and deadlines.
b. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on financial goals and objectives.
c. Participate in project meetings and provide financial insights and recommendations as needed.
Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Experience in project accounting, budget analysis, or related roles.
· Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office tools.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of construction industry practices and terminology is a plus.
