Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records and ensure accuracy of full-cycle bookkeeping entries
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly recorded
- Conduct technical accounting research as needed
- Generate financial reports for management review
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Assist with tax preparation for individual and company returns
- Check returns against receipts and W2s for accuracy and ensure there is no missing information
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping in a public accounting firm required
- Previous tax preparation experience preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
