Practice under new ownership in Medford, NJ is seeking a feline loving veterinary technician to join our team!
Reopened under new ownership! Originally established in 1994, our hospital provides a purr-fect feline-friendly space. Nestled in a residential neighborhood, the hospital is quiet, and calm, so that kitties aren’t stressed by the noise and threats posed by a mixed species clinic. Our services include wellness, sick visits, dentistry, and surgery. We offer digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, ultrasound, an in-house laboratory, and a fully stocked pharmacy. We work hard to maintain relationships with existing clients as well as focusing on community outreach and reaching new clients. We pride ourselves on client education and our staff ensures that we answer any questions that clients may have during, and after, their visits with us.

LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE
Responsibilities and Skills:
- Assist doctors during physical exams
- Prepare vaccines
- Restrain for venipuncture, exams, and treatments
- Perform nail trims
- Set up and perform radiographs (clinical setting)
- Stock and clean workspaces
- Knowledge of common medications; filling medications
- Ability to administer subcutaneous fluids and injections
- Perform venipuncture for routine bloodwork
- Perform treatments on patients within the primary care practice
- Obtain patient history and enter into electronic medical records
- Practice fear-free initiatives
- Able to perform basic sedation (clinical setting)
- Basic knowledge of sedation and anesthesia
Skills/Qualifications:
- CVT, LVT, RVT license preferred but not necessary or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in veterinary medicine as a veterinary technician.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, flexible, great communication skills, compassion and attention to detail are all expected from the successful candidate.
Physical Requirements:
This job is physically active and requires frequent bending and standing for long periods of time. It requires routine lifting and restraining animals. Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
Compensation and Benefits: Compensation is based on experience and skill level. Health Insurance, 401K, continuing education allowance, discounted veterinary care for your own pets, vacation, uniform allowance and room for advancement. Some evenings and weekends are required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 32 per week
