Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Brewer to join our team. As a Brewer, you will be responsible for the production of high-quality craft beer. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge and experience in brewing techniques, equipment operation, and quality control.
Duties:
- Operate brewing equipment and machinery to produce beer according to established recipes and procedures
- Monitor fermentation process, including temperature control and yeast management
- Perform quality control tests throughout the brewing process to ensure product consistency and adherence to standards
- Clean and sanitize brewing equipment, tanks, and work areas to maintain a safe and sanitary brewing environment
- Package finished beer into kegs, cans, or bottles using appropriate equipment
- Maintain accurate records of brewing activities, including ingredient usage, batch yields, and quality control data
- Collaborate with other team members to develop new beer recipes and improve existing ones
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering raw materials and supplies as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a brewing role within the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of brewing techniques, including mashing, boiling, fermentation, and packaging
- Familiarity with quality control processes such as HACCP and CGMP
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred)
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintenance of brewing equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
