Registered Nurse Manager
Duties:
Overview of duties:
- Provide leadership and guidance to other nurses.
- Ensure that staff are properly trained.
- Attending all required leadership meetings.
- Address any personnel issues to promote a productive and supportive work environment.
- Monitor patient care for quality
- Monitor and maintain an effective Quality Assurance program for clinic and Hospital.
- Monitor and maintain an effective infection control program for clinic and Hospital.
o Develop, implement, and monitor infection control policies and procedures.
o Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for healthcare staff.
o Conduct surveillance activities to identify any potential sources of infection.
o Monitor and review infection control practices to ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards.
o Advise on the use of personal protective equipment for staff and visitors.
o Monitor infection rates within the healthcare setting and report any trends.
o Investigate any reported cases of infection and provide advice on prevention and control measures.
o Respond to and manage any incidents of infection in accordance with established policies and procedures.
o Liaise with public health authorities and other organizations in relation to infection control.
- Manage and maintain an effective Rural Health Clinic Vaccine program.
- Collaborate with top management, interdisciplinary teams, and other stakeholders in order to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services.
- Apply evidence-based healthcare practices and nursing standards.
- Review patient and staff data to measure the effectiveness of patient care.
- Float to hospital if/when needed.
