Staff Therapist at Queer-Centered Therapy Practice
Practical Audacity is a Gender and Sex Therapy Group practice located in Logan Square centering and celebrating queer folks and marginalized communities within the Chicagoland Area. We were founded in 2018 by Rae McDaniel (they/them), non-binary Speaker, Author, Therapist, Certified Sex Therapist, Coach, and Transgender Diversity and Inclusion Educator. We are passionate about honoring our clinicians, staff, and clients as expansive humans first and foremost. We believe clinical practice can be sustainable and are passionate about providing a soft space for Queer and Marginalized folks to land. We are still growing and expanding as a practice. This means we expect our team to have resiliency around change and openness to constructive feedback.
What we’re like:
We’re a team made up of clinical practitioners and administrators that are members or allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. We are aware of the political nature therapeutic services are. We recognize the privilege we bring into therapeutic spaces and are passionate about dismantling systems of oppression one 50-minute session at a time. We are compassionate communicators. We recognize that we’re all humans first and as such are encouraged by the authentic expression of our colleagues. We are expansive folx and we welcome opportunities to be called in, while striving to not call out others as we all grow.
Who you are:
First and foremost, you are as passionate as we are about our mission to serve the mental health needs of our community.
