Responsibilities for the lab technician include: conducting laboratory tests and procedures to support our clinical team. Proficiency with Roche and Sysmex analyzers and experience with Orchard LIS is highly desirable.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood and other body fluids
Operate and maintain Roche and Sysmex analyzers
Utilize Orchard LIS for data management and reporting
Ensure accurate and timely recording of test results
Adhere to quality control protocols and maintain laboratory equipment
Collaborate with medical and clinical staff to support patient care
Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment
Conduct proficiency testing and maintain detailed record-keeping
Participate in the evaluation of new techniques and procedures in the laboratory
Required knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
- MLT Certification or MT is preferred
- Knowledge of Roche & Sysmex analyzers
- Proficiency with Orchard LIS is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
