The RN will manage the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met. They will ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity and receive quality care as their healthcare needs change. The RN is responsible for the direct supervision of caregiving and coordination of healthcare needs within the community, as well as providing training, supervision, and monitoring of the nursing staff.
The RN will report to the Clinical Nurse Supervisor.
Personnel Responsibilities:
- Develop or assist in the development and implementation of nursing care plans.
- Coordinate and participate in employee corrective actions related to healthcare.
- Conduct supervisory visits of staff as required by law.
- Ensure optimal quality of care is provided in a safe environment.
- Train staff as required by the State of Minnesota.
- Oversee medication training for all staff.
- Coordinate with administration to ensure staff meet the training requirements of the State of Minnesota.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs to promote the recruitment, retention, and continuing education of the nursing staff.
- Intervene in crisis situations and investigate all unusual incidents.
- Exercise sound judgment, using personal knowledge and management experience in decision-making and delegation of accountability responsibilities to others.
