POSITION SUMMARY
C&H is a high precision manufacturing company specializing in machining, welding and fabrication. We are currently seeking a reliable individual with a proven ability to prioritize and manage time to join our team as a Process Engineer. This position is responsible for process design, creating travelers, BOM’s, prints and models. The candidate will be able to improve manufacturing processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop, configure and optimize manufacturing processes from inception through to start up and qualification, by collaborating with relevant departments.
- Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data.
- Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
- Perform risk assessments and ensure risk management forms are thoroughly completed.
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions to include error proofing.
- Ensure router changes are properly captured and accounted for in the ERP system, and in all relevant documentation.
- Complete closed job reviews to translate lessons learned.
- Ensure continuous traceability from purchase order, to drawing, to ERP system, and that all traceability is documented, saved and linked appropriately.
- Research new processes and work with internal departments to improve production routing.
- Conduct configuration audits to improve and capture POR.(Process of Record)
- Technical interface with engineering, programming and quality departments.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Proven work experience in process engineering
- Prior work experience in machining
- Excellent technical skills
- Knowledge of process related standards
- Solidworks 2018
- Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
- Excellent eye for detail
- Good computer skills i.e. MS Excel, Outlook, Word.
- Excellent knowledge of GD&T
- Must be comfortable with integrating new technology into an existing business environment
- AS 9100D/ ISO knowledge preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Machining experience, knowledge of Solidworks, ability to read blueprints.
Work Experience
Must have general knowledge of the machining industry with accounting background.

Working Conditions
When working on the shop floor, may be subject to:
- High levels of noise
- Physical hazards of moving equipment and machine parts.
- Flying cutting fluid and coolant
- Varying degrees in temperature
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand, push, pull, reach and bend to the floor.
Hearing Ability
No special requirement
Visual Acuity
Near acuity and accommodation are required to read blueprints, set-up sheets and travelers.
