Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform animal handling and restraint during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyze samples
- Take and develop X-rays of animals
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment
Requirements:
- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
- Experience working as a Veterinary Technician preferred
- Proficient in animal handling, restraint, and husbandry techniques
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and administer medications
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary team members
