Job Overview:
This is a fee for service independent contractor outpatient clinician position.
We are seeking dedicated Licensed Master Social Workers who are passionate about social justice and client empowerment, In Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The ideal candidate will have prior clinical internship and professional clinical employment experience (inpatient psychiatric/outpatient behavioral health etc.) and a demonstrated commitment to helping clients navigate through various life challenges and improve their overall mental health and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Social Work Principles and Practices according to NASW Code of Ethics
-Participate in weekly provided clinical supervision
- Conduct initial consultations, comprehensive clinical assessments and collaboratively develop treatment plans with clients, in addition to process and complete treatment termination as appropriate
- Provide individual, family and couple’s therapy sessions
- Utilize evidence based clinical interventions to support clients in achieving their treatment goals
- Provide care coordination services to ensure comprehensive care to clients as needed
- Effectively address crisis management situations
- Provide referrals when necessary to support clients in need of additional community based resources
-Establish and maintain online profile on Psychology Today website platform
-Maintain and provide proof of active practice liability insurance coverage
- Maintain current clinical licensure status and meet all State of Connecticut Department of Public Health licensure regulations
- Provide official proof of Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW in Connecticut)
-Must have and maintain current State of Connecticut motor vehicle drivers license
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical insurance regulations, consistent adherence to time sensitive deadlines and reliably maintain effective documentation procedures
- Demonstrated professional competency in behavioral health assessment and clinical diagnoses acording to the DSM-5
-Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities of clinical evidence based interventions
- Strong background in social work principles and practices
- Proficient in crisis management techniques and protocol
- Knowledge of social welfare systems and resources
- Demonstrated professional experience and commitment to effectively working with marginalized populations and understanding of the intersectionality of race, gender, culture etc.
-Experience in providing evidence based treatment interventions to clients including women, youth and children.
