Job Title: Receptionist
Summary/Objective:
GeoPoint Surveying, Inc. is a land surveying firm with multiple locations, specializing in land development, remote sensing, energy, geospatial mapping, commercial surveys, and subsurface utility engineering.
The Receptionist works within the organization to help it run smoothly by performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
Essential Job Functions:
- Greet clients and guests as soon as they arrive at the office
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while observing proper phone etiquette
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (i.e., pens, forms, and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Order all office supplies and keep inventory of stock, including paper and toner for copiers
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filling, photocopying, and faxing
- Keep Conference Room refrigerator fully stocked
- Scan all bills to the accounting department that come in by mail
- Prepare items for shipping (UPS, Flight of Angels) and obtain complete information from staff ordering shipping/courier services
- Call for services on office equipment (i.e., printers)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Physical Demands:
- Frequently sit, stand, or walk
- May lift, carry, push, or pull objects of various weights
- May reach, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist
- Some other physical demands may come up
Work Environment:
- Desk/Workstation may be located in a confined area
- Moderate noise indoors/outdoors (i.e., computers, phones, printers, and traffic)
- Able to work overtime and some weekends
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as being self-motivated and driven
- Arrive promptly at 8:00 am to work 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM schedule
