Piano, Voice, and Violin Teachers Needed at Brand New Music School in Fremont (PT)
Cadence Academy of Music is a brand new musical instrument lesson studio in Central Fremont. We believe in creating and bringing a pleasant learning experience and environment to students and are devoted to offering exceptional work experience to our teammates. We are looking for warm and enthusiastic teachers to join our team, build and develop this brand new company.
Teachers will be hired as W2 employees, not 1099 contractors. Compensation is based on the number of hours and days of teaching, credentials, and PT/FT status
Available Positions (FT/PT, Substitute):
Piano Teacher
Violin Teacher
Voice Teacher
Job Expectations:
Work with parents and students to design personalized lesson plans and curriculum in ongoing basis
Monitor and report students’ progress to best optimize students’ progress.
Participate in a semi-annual recital by accompanying students.
Be on time and help your students foster a love of playing music
Teach musical instruments from beginner to advanced levels
Engage in minimal administrative and business development tasks such as scheduling and promoting or presenting lesson plans to new students and parents.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in music is preferred (MM/MA and/or DM/PhD degrees is a plus)
Must have legal status to work in the United States
Experience in teaching (3 years +) and performing, ability to teach group classes is a plus
Friendly and warm communication with both students and parents
Experience preparing students for performances, exams, and/or competitions (ABRSM/CM/RCM Practical and Theory Exams or willingness to learn how to prepare students for exams and performances)
English proficiency
Excellent communication skills with both students and parents

Studio hours:
Mon-Fri: 3 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Sat: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
We will work with you to set up a reasonable schedule according to your availability. Ideal candidates should be able to work a minimum of 2 days/week (full-time, 5 days/week is preferred).
To offer work-life balance, our studio is open 48 weeks per year. We close on the week of spring break (per Fremont Unified School District), Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
Substitute teachers must be available within 24-hour notice.
