The scheduler/customer service/inside sales support position will undertake a range of functions to make sure the functions run smoothly within our office.
This position will support the smooth operation of the Office and will interact with the office staff to provide administrative support. As such, this position will be a support person for telephones, general email requests, administrative functions, such as making customer service & scheduling calls, filing and other workflow critical paperwork. Additionally, there will be times when you’ll have the opportunity to assist customers in the showroom and greeting the public.
Qualities that will assist a candidate to be successful are; ability to work effectively in a Team-oriented environment, to be detail-oriented and able to prioritize work, be motivated to work without direct supervision, and produce results. It is absolutely necessary to have a friendly, easy to understand and welcoming demeanor on the phones and in person. It will be extremely helpful to have a functional knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs, a working knowledge of data entry, Outlook email and familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.
The candidate may perform the following tasks:
- Type and word-process various documents and electronic information.
- Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications.
- Interpret instructions and issues arising, and then implement actions according to administrative policies and procedures.
- Research and investigate information to enable strategic decision-making by others.
- Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
- Answer a multi-line telephone quickly (ideally within 1-2 ring cycles) and direct calls to the proper destination without delay. This includes using appropriate friendly and courteous greetings to customers, answering questions, announcing calls or providing directions.
- File data and perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned and for other departments as needed.
- Operate a variety of standard office machines, including a personal computer and a variety of computer software, phone, fax, calculator, shredding machine and photocopy machine.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.
- Tidy the showroom, and outside the front of the building.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health & safety procedures.
- Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
- Performs other work as required.

Minimum Qualifications
- HS diploma and 1-2 years of experience in an office environment. Or 1-2 years of college in applicable field and some office experience
- Additional qualifying experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
