As a dedicated Financial Analyst II, you will work on the Stress Testing Team in USAA’s Chief Financial Office. They will be responsible for performing moderately complex analysis to support the Bank Stress Testing Process. The Financial Analyst II will develop methodologies, produce Bank product line forecasts, and present results to leadership for multiple economic scenarios.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in our Charlotte, NC location.

What you'll do:
Prepares financial forecasts/plans for a business area or expense category; with supervision, develops routine forecasting/planning process and model improvement initiatives.
Prepares routine or ad basic hoc financial reports and analysis or cost benefit analysis to support internal and external management decision making.
With supervision, delivers moderately complex financial research and value-added business decision support to financial and operational opportunities.
Applies basic technical knowledge and performs product assignment, product pricing, product profitability and ad hoc analysis.
Provides informed, proactive analysis and business insights to assist with effective decision making and efficient resource utilization.
Acquires and applies maturing knowledge of the business, its products and processes to resolve issues and identify appropriate issues for escalation.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; OR 4 additional years of related (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
2 years experience conducting financial/accounting analysis and preparing financial reports or financial plans OR Advanced degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, progress towards a CPA or CFA designation and up to 2 years of financial / accounting analysis or related work experience.
Ability to communicate to various stakeholders.
Ability to apply critical thinking skills to proposed solutions.
Experience using Microsoft Office Excel to produce deliverables.
Understanding of financial compliance.
What sets you apart:
Prior exposure to Bank Financial Planning & Analysis
Prior exposure to Stress Testing (DFAST or CCAR)
Experience with Essbase or Oracle EPM tools

What we offer:
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $61,110 - $116,800.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
