The Child First Advocacy Center and Rutland Unit for Special Investigations (CFAC/RUSI) is currently accepting applications for an Executive Director. CFAC/RUSI is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment to assist victims and their families in the discovery, intervention, treatment and prevention of child sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, adult sexual assault, and families affected by violence.
The Executive Director is a Full time, professional position charged with program oversight, maintaining the current Accreditation status of the agency under the National Children’s Alliance Standards for Accreditation and support the multi-disciplinary team in an investigative series. Under the supervision of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will ensure the provision of a centralized child-friendly facility from which trauma informed investigation and intervention activities are conducted.
The focus of this position is to oversee the administrative duties of the organization, ensure CFAC/RUSI meets all federal and state requirements, and maintain external relationships with MDT partners and community members. A successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, management and communication skills, integrity, good judgment, good humor, and a strong commitment to the mission of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of CFAC/RUSI, including personnel management, case tracking and data completion, budgets, financials, and all aspects of grants management.
- Oversees the coordination and administration of investigative services.
- Coordinates CAC services with participating agencies including child protection (DCF), law enforcement, State’s Attorney’s Office, local crisis agencies, medical and mental health personnel.
- Organizes and conducts monthly MDT case review meetings.
- Maintains a positive relationship with multidisciplinary team members to ensure program success
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Board of Director’s.
Those with experience in any of the following fields are encouraged to apply: Non-profit management, medical services, law enforcement, child protection, victim advocacy or mental health. Qualified candidates will possess at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. The right candidate will be self-motivated and be able to manage time and projects effectively, demonstrate creative problem-solving and organizational skills.
