THE OPPORTUNITY
Join our bright and friendly Warehouse Operations team as Shipping Specialist!
As a key player in our Shipping team, you will work closely with our Production and Customer Experience teams to ensure seamless invoicing, payment processing, and timely dispatch of orders. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the smooth flow of goods, from our warehouse to the customers' doors, ensuring that each shipment is handled with care and delivered on time.
You will take ownership of overseeing accurate shipping and ensuring all payments are processed correctly through our systems. This includes monitoring payment systems and swiftly addressing any issues that arise. Within our warehouse, you will actively move orders to ensure shipments are ready to be collected seamlessly by delivery drivers and ensure timely pickups and deliveries. Additionally, you will be responsible for processing all returned sock efficiently and accurately.

This is a permanent position, working 9am-5pm Monday to Friday in our Warehouse located in Mooresville, NC.

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

Overseeing and processing all outbound B2B and B2C packages through operating systems and required channels
- Booking shipments through third party curriers
- Accurately taking and processing payments for required orders
- Ensuring all outbound parcels are correctly ticketed and labelled in accordance with the courier and customer requirements
- Contacting customers on freight shipments for specific shipping options
- Comparing shipping quotes when required from competing couriers in order to ship with the best rate
- Managing filing claims with courier for damaged or lost shipments, ensuring the claim is processed and the company is reimbursed
- Communicating daily with couriers on volume, pick-up needs and issues, ensuring pickups are all on time
- Reviewing Vendor Guides for prospective new and existing accounts to ensure we can process and ship in full compliance with their needs
- Managing all customer returns, returning orders in the system in a timely manner
- Accepting daily inbound shipments, log and deliver to correct department
- Processing and shipping inter-company orders to agents, tradeshows, the UK facility and any additional locations for the company
- Managing supplies for Dispatch and informing the relevant parties when product is running low
- Maintaining daily communication with the Customer Operations Jr Manager on workload to ensure all necessary tasks are completed
- Maintaining daily communication with the Warehouse Coordinator on workload to ensure all necessary tasks are completed
- Generating, creating and monitoring reports to ensure all orders flowing through dispatch are processed accurately
- Working with teammates assigned to assist the Shipping department to ensure correct processes and regulations are followed
- Taking responsibility for ensuring all invoices and cash sales are correctly generated, specifically ensuring payment is taken on cash sales and pro forma invoices
- Leasing with customers to take payment on their orders when necessary
- Manage payments taken via Adyen to ensure there are no old or incorrect payments
- Leading on the dispatch side for all special projects that involve shipping products from our facility
- Leading by example, championing Katie Loxton policies and processes
