Directs and coordinates entire programs of customer related projects as well as internal process improvement projects. This position is responsible for supervision of a group of Project Managers, and represents the Project Management resources and program of projects across all Sharp Packaging locations, interfacing with Customer Project Teams, Vendors, Business Partners and all Cross-functional Team leaders throughout the Sharp Organization.
Responsible for a group of up of 4- 8 direct report Sr. Project Managers/Project Managers and/or similar project support related resources required to support a program of projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains overall responsibility for a Team of Sharp Project Managers to assure all assigned Team resources:
- Maintains PMO process Templates for all active projects
- Schedules, facilitates, documents, communicates monthly Project Team update meetings
- Maintains Project Smartsheet collaboration areas for all active projects
- Conducts program meetings to assure proper resourcing and timeline management are maintained for all assigned teams.
- Participates and presents in Biweekly Project Review Board meetings.
- Assures proper project initiation practices are adhered to by use of required PMO project kickoff documentation for all assigned projects
- Works in conjunction with the Project Coordinators assuring all project sales orders are managed to meet customer commitments.
- Assures all assigned Team resources comply with the required use of the ERP application in support of all assigned projects.
- Coordinates with all cross functional group leaders within the Sharp organization to assure proper staffing and resource management is provided to support the assigned program of projects.
- Responsible for the supervision, training, performance counseling and professional development of all assigned Team resources.
- Meets regularly with customer Teams, suppliers, and vendors to assure all PMO business practices are maintained at a level required to assure an exceptional level of customer satisfaction is achieved on all assigned projects.
- Assures all assigned PM resources create and utilize project timelines, identifying critical path and milestone items required to produce all required customer requirements within the expected timelines.
- Assumes the leadership role and represents the main point of contact for the Project Management function at Sharp Commercial packaging.
- Responsible for development and execution of ongoing continuous improvement efforts to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Sharp PMO process at Sharp Commercial.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises multiple Project Managers and other assigned project support resources spanning multiple Sharp Corporation Account Executives. Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university ideally in a technical discipline (Packaging Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering) preferred not required; or at least ten years related and documented experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related area. PMP Certification or concurrent pursuit of certification, or other relevant Project Management professional development training reviewed and approved by immediate Supervisor. Experience in a cGMP environment, preferably in a contract services provider organization. Advanced knowledge of S&OP planning processes, including MRP and materials management business practices.
