Our Taproom Bartender/server will be working alongside and reporting to our Taproom Management. They are responsible for an unparalleled level of guest satisfaction, beer knowledge, and hospitality, in addition to regular duties. We are a family of genuine and knowledgeable people that are driven, motivated, hard-working, and up to the challenge of being the face of the company.
This person will be responsible for guest satisfaction, taproom cleaning, beverage serving, food serving, and anything else that may “hop” up, taproom or brewery. We are seeking out an enthusiastic hospitality professional who is looking for full-time work. We need someone who is willing to bring new ideas to the table but can take direction and work together as a team. Our team is made up of individuals who are excited to learn more about beer, share that with others, and provide top-notch guest service every day. If you are a person who loves beer and craft beverages and engaging with new people and have several years of experience then we want to meet you.
Essential Functions:
Adheres to responsible serving of alcohol (TIPS) guidelines
Serves Fire Maker’s product with a wealth of knowledge & courteous fashion
Keeps our Taproom and surrounding areas clean! Our employees should feel like this is their business to show off and keep top-notch, 24/7.
Assist wherever needed – Taproom or Brewery
Some food prepping/stocking/serving/organizing
Ability to help train others.
Must be comfortable with closing and opening alone. Especially closing alone at night.
Maintains a strong relationship with regular guests as well as new guests.
Assists in the maintenance of merchandise (Inventory, organization, displays, etc)
Supports daily functions of a taproom – cleaning glassware, bussing spaces, pouring beers, filling crowlers, offering a wealth of Fire Maker beer knowledge, etc.
Supports coworkers during shifts to enable a smooth-running operation.
Participate in festivals and promotions as needed
Able to keep a flexible schedule
Understanding that additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as our jobs evolve and grow.
Required Qualifications:
Be a Fire Maker. We are looking for an individual who wants to exceed their goals and pursue their passions.
To be successful, you must be able to perform daily duties in a timely and efficient manner, to a satisfactory level.
Must be a team player! This person will be willing to step in whenever and wherever we may need.
Actively looks for ways to make every Fire Maker guest feel like they are at home and in a space they can learn more about beer.
Punctuality, work ethic, integrity, verbal and written skills and a stellar attitude.
Excitement for craft beer and all things Atlanta!
Ability to become a Cicerone Certified Beer Server within one month of employment (company provided).
Ability to become TIPS Certified within one week of employment (company provided).
Job Requirements & Details:
Must be able to move full kegs (150lbs)
Must be 21 years old or older
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Night and weekend availability, as well as some holidays.
Motivated to stay busy and create opportunities out of downtime.
Greeting and welcoming guests into our taproom!
Must be able to represent our brand to anyone who walks into the taproom as well as out and about in your day-to-day life.
Thorough knowledge of Fire Maker products and story.
Function as a team and step in wherever needed when able to, whether that is taproom or brewery.
Willingness to clean draft lines, restrooms, and other taproom-related areas. Our space should be so fresh and so clean, clean.
Attention to detail and drive to exceed expectations
Must be a friendly and engaging member of our team
Cash handling and use of a Point of Sale software
Positive and Charismatic
Ability to serve drinks/food in a high pace environment

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 44 per week
