Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Aerospace / Firearm Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aerospace / firearms painting, including experience with various coatings, surface preparation techniques, and quality control processes. The Aerospace / Firearms Painter will be responsible for preparing aircraft surfaces for painting, applying coatings according to specifications or Manufacture's Technical Data Sheets, and ensuring the highest quality finish.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a multitude of surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
- Mix and apply coatings according to specifications or technical data sheets.
- Ensure proper adhesion, thickness and finish of coatings.
- Inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain painting equipment and work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in aerospace and / or firearm painting.
- Knowledge of aerospace coatings and application techniques.
- Knowledge of firearm coatings and application techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
