As the People Services Manager you will be an integral and strategic business partner and driver for the People Lifecyle in all things Recruiting, Hiring, Associate Relations, Onboarding, Performance Management, and Development. You will work with People Services leadership, the Store Associates, and Store Leadership Team to advise. You will oversee the People Service Generalists. This role is onsite and will report to the Director of People Services.
- Assign important change roles to leaders, help create plans, secure commitment to change, and coach leaders on their role in the change
- Champions Diversity and Belonging to build an environment where everyone is respected
- Exercises a high degree of confidentiality with sensitive information Talent Management & Compliance
- Own process and completion of Talent Reviews and provide strategic support for people development
- Lead succession planning and Performance Management process
- Conducts investigations by asking probing questions, analyzing evidence across impacted parties, and determining an actionable plan
- Facilitate mediation by asking insightful questions and listening to understand situations and provides appropriate, feedback to achieve resolution or improvement
- Deliver difficult and complex messages and determine the appropriate communication channels for these messages
- Maintain and utilize knowledge of local and federal regulations
- Partners with Training and Talent Acquisition to build market strategies to address People Services opportunities and develop store talent
- Review complex FMLA, ADA, Leave of Absence requests and engages in the interactive process to determine best resolution and next steps
- 4-6 years of relevant HR experience
- Track record achieving business results
- History of leading, motivating, and coaching teams
- Basic financial acumen
- The ability to thoughtfully advise, counsel, coach, resolve conflict, and negotiate within all levels of an organization
- HR systems experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- A flexible work schedule
