Overview:
The Crane Operator is responsible for lifting and moving materials around a residential job site as safely and efficiently as possible
Responsibilities:
- Drives crane truck to and from jobs to pick up and drop off materials
- Calculates load capacity, determining weight of items to be moved in relation to the maximum capacity of crane based on manufacturers specifications
- Inspects clearances, overhead lines, and other possible obstructions to ensure there are no accidents or damage to employees, buildings, loads, or equipment
- Inspects ground conditions to ensure that the crane can be set up safely
- Performs required routine inspections on truck and tracks annual inspection on crane and keeps crane extensions and grease points greased on a daily basis
- Maintains truck and crane for cleanliness
- Maintains and follows all panel care and maintenance
- Respond to all office requests, both verbal and electronic, in a timely manner
- Complies with all applicable federal, state, and company safety laws, guidelines, and best practices
- Attends and participates in all required meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to stripping, setting, pouring, and squaring homes
Qualifications:
- Valid Class B or higher CDL
- NCCCO crane certification - will train
- OSHA 10 - will train
- Panel Management experience preferred but not required
- 1+ year construction experience preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.79 - $25.04 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
