As part of our team, you will get to work with industry subject matter experts and government experts onboard ships in varying stages of new construction to identify and predict issues before they occur. You will frequently interface and integrate with Navy acquisition and test program leaders, equipment suppliers, the shipbuilder, as well as the ship’s Navy crew. You will translate knowledge into accurate and timely reports regarding equipment physical condition, location, ship installation and test progress to Navy leadership.
We are currently seeking a candidate who has the necessary general knowledge of Navy ship Government Furnished Equipment, and who understands ship construction, equipment hardware and software installation and testing programs. The candidate should have a working knowledge and be able to read, interpret, and analyze Allowance Equipage Lists, Allowance Parts Lists, Bill of Materials (BOMs), Technical Manuals, and shipboard drawings. The candidate should have an understanding of financial systems and their functionalities; knowledge of data resident to those systems and ability to utilize the data to provide programmatic and financial recommendations to stakeholders. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of the following applications and software suites: ROMIS (Real-Time Outfitting Management Information System), Navy One-Touch, and Haystack.
The candidate should be a self-starter, willing and able to dig deep into challenging equipment issues with team members and solve them, and effectively communicate with Navy customers.
Employees will be required to provide proof of U.S. citizenship and demonstrate the ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance.
