The. U.S. Army Combat Capability Development Command (DEVCOM) Aviation & Missile Center (AvMC) Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineering & System Assessment Division of the Systems Readiness Directorate is seeking an experienced and motivated RAM engineer(s) to serve as the RAM Lead for a major U.S. Army Launcher System. As the Lead RAM Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and maintainability of the launcher system throughout its lifecycle, contributing significantly to the success of our critical defense missions and ultimately, our Worldwide Warfighters.
DEVCOM AvMC as a Science and Technology Reinvention Laboratory (STRL) is utilizing the Direct Hire Authority (DHA) to fill this position(s).

Salary Range (this includes locality pay adjustments for Redstone Arsenal, AL where the position is located): $90,431 - $165,197
Duties:
Serve as the Lead Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineer over the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) and M270 Launcher systems in support of the Strategic and Operational Rockets and Missiles Project Office (PM STORM) within the Program Executive Office for Missiles and Space (PEO M&S). In this role, you will:
- Conduct regular RAM analyses and assessments on the HIMARS and M270 launcher systems and provide monthly briefings to Senior Leadership within PM STORM to communicate system performance.
- Score incoming RAM data on fielded launcher systems for the U.S. Army and coordinate/conduct scoring conferences with the technical community.
- Support development efforts on the HIMARS and M270 launcher systems to include developing RAM requirements, reliability growth and tracking, evaluating contractor RAM deliverables/efforts, technical evaluations, etc.
- Conduct reliability and maintainability test and demonstration events to ensure prognostic/diagnostic/maintainability requirements.
- Determine Materiel Release requirements for new systems and execute all required RAM activities in support of Materiel Release decisions.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting RAM performance, trends, and test results formally and informally through technical reports, briefings, memos, and/or white papers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and contractual requirements related to RAM engineering.
- Participate in meetings, Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), or Failure Review Boards (FRBs) as needed.
Strong leadership, communication (oral and written), teamwork and customer- oriented skills are strongly desired for this position.
