Currently we are recruiting for a 2nd shift (night shift) Maintenance Technician. This position will apply knowledge of Mechanical and Controls Technologies to new and existing processes to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness. Direct and/or participate in root cause analysis and team problem solving activities. They will train, coach, and mentor manufacturing and technical personnel.
Technical Position Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude.
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley family including PLC 5000, PLC 500, Panel Builder, and Device Net.
- Knowledge of Stanley and Atlas Copco torque systems.
- Time management and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring and circuit diagrams for troubleshooting.
- Read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and prints.
- Offloading Equipment and Forklift Operations.
- Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
- Optical, Inductive, Capacitive sensors.
- Contactors, starters, relays, switches.
- Power supplies and transformers.
- Motors and Motor starters.
- Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Knowledge of Common Machine Guarding Devices. Bumper Strips, Light Curtains, Pressure Mats, etc.
- Lock Out Tag Out.
- General machine safety, electrical safety and machine guarding; high level of safety awareness (OSHA, NEC and RIA).
- Supports Quality and Environmental Processes
Education and Experience.
- Associate’s Degree preferred or course work in Hydraulic Circuits, Blue print reading, Hydraulic, Pneumatic and Electrical circuits.
- Minimum 5 years Machine Repair and Maintenance experience.
Additional Desired Experience
- PLC hardware and software.
- HMI hardware and software.
- Networks & database operation.
- Servo and variable frequency drive hardware and software.
- Robot set up and programming.
- Vision systems set up and programming.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
