We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Family Manager to join a tight-knit and active family in the West Village!
As a Family manager, you will be responsible for managing daily schedules, activities, and the well-being of the three children, ages 12, 10, and 9. You will work closely with the mom and a PT/after school nanny to ensure the smooth operation of the household and provide exceptional support to the family.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 2:30pm - 7:30pm are required hours.
The family can guarantee up to 40 hours per week and the rest of the schedule can be quite flexible. Typical additional hours will be arriving earlier in the day and 2 later evenings per week for pick up from sports.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the children's safety and well-being.
- Manage the children's schedules and itineraries in Google Calendar, coordinating with the PT nanny for drop-off and pick-up.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics for each child's activities and appointments.
- Provide high-quality childcare, including homework help, encouragement of responsible behavior, and maintenance of a structured daily routine.
- Manage household and children’s items, tracking and ordering new supplies as needed (e.g., sports equipment, clothing, household essentials).
- Complete administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, filling out forms, and signing up for activities.
- Managing school notices and requirements and liaising with various tutors or coaches via a family email address.
- Prepare and pack lunches daily.
- Children's laundry.
- Assist with special projects, such as party planning and home organization.
The middle child is diagnosed with ADHD and Autism Level One. Experience with ADHD and or Autism is a huge plus.
The children go to school on the UES and partake in a wide range of sports and activities.
The right candidate will be professional, reliable, a multitasker with strong executive functioning skills, and passionate about helping children and families. Someone who is patient and kind, and can also be firm and structured.
The family is seeking a warm, experienced professional, who they can count on and who will be with them for at least the next several years.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of nanny experience with multiples and school-aged children.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant household management experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- 2-3 relevant references.
- Fluency in English.
- A Bachelor's degree or advanced degree.
Compensation: Competitive salary starting at $50.00 an hour (gross).
Benefits: 14 days of paid vacation, 6 paid sick days, paid major holidays, monthly MetroCard reimbursement. Other benefits can be negotiated for the right candidate.
