ECU Health SurgiCenter is a freestanding facility with a multi-specialty staff of approximately 200 physicians, all guided by a single goal: to provide quality outpatient surgical care in a patient- and family-centered environment. Performing more than 12,000 outpatient surgical procedures a year, the facility offers a convenient and clinically excellent alternative to inpatient hospitalization for a wide range of surgical procedures.Outpatient procedures are performed in eight modern, well-equipped suites by surgeons specializing in dental and oral surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, general and plastic surgery, gynecology, podiatry, neurosurgery, urology and more.
Position Summary
The Surgical Technologist maintains the integrity, safety and efficiency of the sterile field throughout surgical procedures. As a Surgical Technologist, you will prepare and arranges instruments and supplies. Will assist the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing sterile instruments and supplies. Attends educational programs and staff orientation which promote personal and professional development. Participates in Service Excellence Program.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program, Certification from a Military Program, or Graduated from an accredited Nursing Program RN/LPN

5 years up to 8 years with CST certification, with 8 years and CST promote to IV, 8 years experience to 15 years with no CST, with 15 years and no CST promote to IV

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
