Description:
The Warehouse Manager should be competent, experienced, personable, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to the pressures of effectively managing a warehouse and its daily tasks. They will manage staff by fostering a positive environment and ensuring proper branch operations, while exceeding customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities

Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.

Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.

Maintains accurate inventory using cycle counts and inventory control methods.

Ensure associates follow all safety policies and procedures.

Thoroughly investigate and report all safety accidents and violations in a timely manner.

Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and responses to fluctuating workloads.

Assign and direct all work performed in the warehouse, and supervise all areas of operation, which include receiving, shipping, order picking, delivery and Inventory Control.

Interview, hire, and train new associates.

Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.

Follow all procedures for receiving incoming and outgoing products and proper distribution of details to relevant parties.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, and the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands.

Requirements:
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Exerting up to 75 pounds of force repetitively and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Able to push/pull up to 300 pounds using engineered mechanical aids, such as hand trucks, forklifts, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.

Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking are frequently required.

Talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity are frequently required.

Keying data is repetitive motion and is often required.
Education and Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
2+ years proven warehouse experience in the heavy-duty parts industry or similar role is required, supervisory experience preferred.
