Position Overview
The Staff Accountant will work in the Finance Department and will manage customer information and ensure all incoming payments are properly tracked into the system, overseeing the organization’s Accounts Receivable. Reporting to BSP’s Department Manager, the staff accountant will perform monthly bank statements, month end close and assist in the preparation of financial statements. The Staff Accountant will regularly update financial records to reflect accurate information and meet regulations, this may require accrual and adjusting journal entries. The Staff Accountant will work with the Department Manager for grant budget reporting and requirements, as well as support year-end audits.
This position requires a high level of attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Accounting
- Responsible for processing customer invoices with the correct GL accounts, entering payments and managing deposits.
- Prepare monthly statements for customers with monthly payment terms, ensure invoice payments are collected on time.
- Track and monitor grant budget and reporting for grant invoicing.
- Assist with grant requirements to funders.
- Journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Completes bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
- Assists with month-end closing procedures and account analysis.
- Maintains all accounting documents and records in a clear and easily accessible manner.
- Assist with end of year audits.
- Ensure compliance and accounting standard regulations.
- Compiles and sorts documents, such invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in Accounts Receivable.
- Must have considerable knowledge of basic accounting principles (i.e., journal entries, debits, credits, etc.) and accounting functions.
- Ability to access and accurately enter accounting and job cost transactions using ERP system (SAGE Intacct, ADP, Salesforce)
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to meet required deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
