SUMMARY: Electronics Purchasing/BUYER to perform a variety of general administrative activities including Data Entry for purchase orders and assisting in daily office needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Assist in any needs with Vendors Negotiations for goods and services (i.e. entering data, calling vendors, and research.
- Assist in the management of inventory levels, verifying schedules, and availability to meet production schedules.
- Prepares and reviews purchase orders for conformance to company policy.
- Research new supply sources when current vendors are inadequate.
- Monitors inventory to ensure sufficient quantity and identify surplus, including Bond / Consignment.
- ·Traces delinquent arrivals from Purchase Orders.
- Ability to communicate professionally with people of all levels of the organization and external contacts.
- Able to work well with individuals and in a team environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Prior background in purchasing of Electronic components is a plus.
- PC based computing experience essential.
