Job Summary
Maintenance Supervisor will direct and organize activities as it pertains to the day-to day functioning of the machines or tools, lead maintenance technicians to ensure company goals are met in a timely and safe manner.
Job Duties
- Responsible for training, developing, and mentoring dedicated maintenance team within the department. Estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve work problems. Assist technicians in finding solutions to work related problems as needed.
- Coordinate with production management team to minimize downtown in response to emergency equipment repairs.
- Implement cost savings as it relates to the improvement of the production process or methods, equipment performance, track and manage inventory.
- Ensure all environmental, safety and preventive maintenance work is completed accurately and on time. Complete all necessary documents fully for accurate recordkeeping.
- Promote a culture of Mission Zero by continuously monitoring safety rules and requirements.
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
- Prior maintenance supervisor experience and prior experience working in a foundry environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures, and practices
- Lead and direct the work of other employees.
- Typically have some full authority of personnel decisions related to hiring, performance or disciplinary actions
- Typically require accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 5 or more years of experience
