Job Summary:
This position is suitable for Master's level candidates who are currently licensed or license-eligible, with experience in mental health and addiction treatment. Successful candidates must have completed their EMDR Therapy training from an EMDRIA approved provider.
Priority Responsibilities:
Assessments and Treatment Planning:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments with patients referred for EMDR sessions.
- Assess and document the risk of harm to self or others.
- Develop patient-specific treatment plans with goals, interventions, and timeframes.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to plan and make appropriate aftercare recommendations.
- Participate in treatment team meetings to collaborate on patient goals, progress, and treatment-related issues.
Individual, Group, and Family Therapy:
- Conduct individual EMDR therapy sessions with patients, meeting a productivity expectation of sessions per week.
- Provide intensive EMDR therapy sessions with patients as appropriate.
- Develop and lead groups on Intro to EMDR, Resourcing, and other identified EMDR education groups based on your expertise.
- Facilitate family sessions as needed.
- Utilize de-escalation skills to ensure patient safety and reduce AMA risk.
- Maintain and promote healthy boundaries.
- Promote and protect each patient’s independence, privacy, dignity, and emotional and physical well-being.
Documentation:
- Complete EMDR progress notes for individual, group, and family sessions.
- Update treatment plans to reflect patient progress and challenges.
- Document all clinical assessments as required.
- Capture any safety concerns and interventions or referrals initiated.
Training and Competencies:
- Learn and follow company-established policies and procedures.
- Remain current with all required trainings and certifications.
- Receive biweekly supervision and attend EMDR consultation meetings.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Practice respectful, compassionate, supportive communication with patients and colleagues.
- Complete EMDRIA approved training.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Current licensure or license-eligible in the applicable state.
- Completed EMDR Therapy training from an EMDRIA approved provider.
- Experience in mental health and addiction treatment.
- Strong assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention skills.
