The Career Coach is responsible for recruiting eligible participants and providing career coaching and training to all customers as well as assisting them with obtaining employment.
Essential Functions
- Assesses customer's career goals and related experience, education and work history
- Provides and arranges for services that supports the customer's preparedness for employment
- Matches customers with job orders available on an ongoing basis
- Work closely with Business Services Representatives with follow-up of referred clients
- Ensure all case notes are completed daily, ensuring quality control and all facts are stated
- Assist with all program audits
- Review files for assigned participants to assure files are accurate based on program procedures
- Conduct retention checks to employers on all successfully completed participants and assure all retentions are case noted and contacts are made as required to participants
- Coach, mentor and advocate for assigned participants to support their development and job placement
- Targeted outreach for assigned programs to increase the number of participants benefiting from program services
- Train and present topics associated with job readiness and job searching

Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience in job placement and training
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

- Ability to inspire and encourage others
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a field role with a need to perform clerical and administrative duties in a physical office. Role requires extensive amount of mobility - reliable transportation is required.
Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Position requires the ability to work on evenings and weekends as needed.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports to the Center Director or Program Manager and works in collaboration with E&ES staff.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 2-3 years of related experience
