Job Description: Boiler Technician
Pay: $25.30 - $33.88
Summary: We are looking for a skilled Boiler Technician to perform startups and shutdowns on existing boiler system. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspections on established equipment.
Responsibilities·

Ability to identify and trouble shoot problems on various types of boilers and the boiler support equipment

Ability to pull water samples, test water and adjust chemical quantities for water softener system

Consistently monitor the daily operations of the boilers, document readings and data reports

Works independently with minimal supervision

Read and understand process documentation and technical instructions

Shelby County Boiler Operator License required

Perform daily inspections of the equipment and the surroundings

All other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset

3 Years Boiler Operations or Maintenance experience required

Basic Math skills and reading comprehension

Ability to read and follow various processes

Self-Starter with the ability to prioritize task
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Requires standing; walking, bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, and entering into confined spaces and elevated surfaces for the entirety of shift
-
Required to exert up to 75 pounds of force regularly
-
Thorough understanding of the MSDS’s, company safety policies / practices, and proper use of identified PPE which may involve protective clothing, sleeves, hard hats, foot protection, eye / ear protection, respirator use, etc.

The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in all weather conditions.

Must be able to verbally, visually and physically receive instructions and work in loud environment
