Dr. Peter Vila is a board-certified and fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeon that is expanding the practice and looking to bring on a Aesthetic Nurse Injector to provide nonsurgical rejuvenation for the practice. As a specialist in facial aging and rhinoplasty, Dr. Vila has traveled around the country and the world to learn the newest techniques and is passionately dedicated to providing these to his patients to help them look the very best.

The Surgical Technologist and Materials Manager will facilitate excellence in performing surgical procedures, and is essential to providing the best surgical outcomes to the patient. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, friendly, organized, professional, and possesses excellent interpersonal skills. This person will be working one on one with Dr. Vila at a fully accredited office-based surgery center in the Portland, OR metropolitan area dedicated solely to aesthetic facial plastic surgery.
Specific Duties
- Maintain and prepare supplies and instruments for surgical procedures
- Set up sterile table with instruments and supplies needed for surgical procedures
- Assist Dr. Vila in surgery, both in the operating room and the clinic
- Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique
- Assist other members of team with turnover and cleaning of room
- Assist in prepping operating room for surgery
- Sterile processing of instruments
- Manage materials, including tracking of inventory, ordering and stocking supplies in operating room and office
- Assist with procedures performed in the clinic procedure room as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification from an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred
- At least 2 years of previous clinical experience in an operating room (facial plastic surgery preferred)
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with professionals at all level
- Current BLS certification
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to move quickly in response to surgeon and patient needs
- Able to stand for long periods
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
