Summary:
Determines requirements for maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic devices, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Must be able to read both mechanical and electrical prints.
Must have good fundamental knowledge of mechanical & electrical practices and work.
Must be familiar with the safe use of a variety of hand tools and shop equipment. i.e.: saw, lathe, presses, etc.
Must have a working knowledge of brazing and welding to repair machines and equipment and buildings.
Must be capable of determining requirements for maintaining facility machines, systems, buildings, and grounds in required operational condition.
Maintains, repairs, dismantles, rebuilds equipment and machinery required for production of products and maintenance of plant facilities.
Must be capable of troubleshooting control signals (4-20mA, 0V -10V) circuits, motors, pumps, variable frequency/speed drives, and low voltage up to 480 volts.
Must be able to keep electrical equipment such as motors, switches and electrical mechanisms in good repair and operating condition through preventative maintenance requirements.
Comfort with troubleshooting automated equipment is a must.
Respond to work requests and document/record repair activities.
May assign work for maintenance mechanics or other maintenance personnel.
PLC experience preferable Allen Bradley is a plus.

Education and/or Experience:
A.S. In Industrial Electricity or equivalent training; or five plus years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
