Job description
We are a Clinical Laboratory Seeking a Full-Time Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) in molecular biology. Reporting to the Molecular Biology Manager, the Medical Technologist will provide support in a wide range of development related tasks, assist in producing content for training and help retrieve/interpret relevant statistical data pertaining to the study being conducted. Additionally, will follow the laboratory's standard operating procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient tests results.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions: (duties include, but are not limited to the following):
- Follow the laboratory's standard operating procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient tests results.
- Review and release test results.
- Follow the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, maintenance, and reagent validation policies for all analyzers.
- Data Entry.
- Provide support to the Molecular Biology Manager as needed.
- Research and basic statistical analysis
- Professional writing and proofreading
- Analytical Interpretation
- Laboratory Bench Studies (WET WORK)
- Instrumentation (ThermoFisher-QuantStudio)
Qualifications and Experience:
- NYS issued Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT) License.
- Minimum year (2) year clinical laboratory experience as a researcher and working in a molecular laboratory.
- B.S./ and/ or M.S. from an accredited college/university.
- Strong editing and proofreading ability.
- Excellent analytical and verbal communication skills.
- Strong research skills.
- Excellent computer skills, not limited to, Microsoft, Adobe and Google.
- Ability to present research reports and develop presentations using PowerPoint or Keynote
- Experience entering and exporting data.
- Experience using most common laboratory equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work both collaboratively and independently as tasks require.
- Manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to pass employer background check.
