The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so this is a big job! The General Manager works with his/her leader to set the restaurant’s goals and creates a plan to achieve the goals.
To meet restaurant goals, the Area Supervisor doesn’t work alone. He or she leads a team of General Managers. This means helping the General Managers to set their restaurant goals, following up on their progress, and providing coaching and direction to improve their Restaurants. The Area Supervisor may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to ensure the restaurant has the right team to lead into the future.

The compensation for the Area Supervisor position starts between 65k and 75k+ and bonus per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits to include health care, Dental, Vision, paid vacation, paid sick days, , and a monthly bonus program.
To be successful an Area Supervisor should be able to:
- Identify key business issues within individual restaurants affecting performance, and influence decisions, align resources, take immediate action and hold others accountable.
- Drive outstanding reliability, product quality and financial performance for individual restaurants within an organization to drive consistent same store sales and transaction growth.
- The area Supervisor accomplishes these objectives by actively engaging in the supporting and coaching GMs and other mgrs as needed on a day to day basis.
- Focal points include:
- Establishing and reviewing store specific guest satisfaction performance targets
- Improving sales and customer satisfaction
- Maintaining company standards in food safety #foodsafety, product and facility specifications.
- Allocating limited budgets to meet highest priority needs
- Reinforcing new products and initiatives
- Recruiting, training, developing and motivating GM and mgrs
- Evaluating for compliance around national brand promotions
- Visiting restaurants frequently during night shift and weckends
- Ensure the restaurant managers upholds the standards of QSC
- Ensure the restaurants meet or exceeds operational goals as, Labor, Sales, Profit, Food Cost etc
- Ensure the restaurants are following all operational and company policies
- Develop your managers to perform at the highest levels
- Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
- Execute an operational plan
- Ensure the restaurants are operating in the most effective and efficient manner
- Review operational reports, analyze and development an action plan to improve any areas that are not performing up to standards.
- Daily follow up on all action plans to ensure improvements
- Must be able to multi-task and have great time management skills

Minimum Requirements:
- Graduates of McDonald's Corporation- Hamburger University / ROLP.
- Experience as a GM/ Supervisor / of a QSR for at least 2 years
- Ability to recruit, develop and retain General Managers and crew members
- Relationship management; ability to successfully influence and build trust with varying styles and personalities
- Understanding of restaurant operations
- Proven ability to drive results by coaching around successful routines and brand standards.
