We are currently seeking a polished and charismatic Host to join our team at The Bungalow Restaurant. The Host will serve as the first point of contact for guests, providing warm and gracious hospitality from the moment they arrive. This pivotal role requires exceptional communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and a genuine passion for delivering unparalleled guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, extending genuine hospitality and creating a memorable first impression.
- Manage the restaurant's reservation system, accurately recording reservations and seating guests promptly upon arrival.
- Communicate effectively with guests, providing information about the restaurant, menu offerings, and any special promotions or events.
- Anticipate guests' needs and preferences, ensuring a seamless dining experience from start to finish.
- Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and other staff members to optimize table turnover and maintain efficient seating rotations.
- Monitor the dining room layout and make adjustments as needed to accommodate reservation schedules and optimize seating capacity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host station, including ensuring menus are clean and presentable, and the entryway is tidy and welcoming.
- Assist with other front-of-house duties as needed, including answering phone calls.
- Uphold The Bungalow Restaurant's standards for excellence in guest service, professionalism, and hospitality at all times.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in an upscale fine dining restaurant.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests in a professional and personable manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to accommodate the restaurant's operating hours.
- Knowledge of reservation management systems is a plus.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a polished and well-groomed appearance.
