Our company has been an industry leader in defense and aerospace component manufacturing in CT for decades. You will manage and operate one in our Quality Department, reporting to Alinabal Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Reports directly to the Quality Manager. This individual is responsible for supporting the organization’s Quality Control Inspection Lab and Quality Clinic activities.
- Evaluate and record product nonconformities that may be beyond the knowledge or scope of the inspector’s experience.
- Initiate, process and report Material Deficiency Reports and chair the MDR meeting. Determine final dispositions from needed parties within Alinabal to allow the MDR to be closed by the MRB Group.
- Develop continuous improvement projects based on Material Deficiency Report analysis.
- Ability to cover each position within the Quality Control Lab on a needs or emergency basis.
- Act as Alinabal liaison with all customer source inspections and product presentation.
- Evaluate inspection equipment and make recommendations for
upgrade/improvement.
- Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge and understanding of Blueprint reading.
- Knowledge and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of measuring equipment of all kinds needed to measure complex parts with right tolerances.
- Basic computer technology skills needed in analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949 International standards
- Knowledge of general manufacturing, aerospace, space and defense specifications.
- Knowledge of industry and military specification standards.
- 7 years’ experience in Quality in a related position within a manufacturing environment.
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a Quality environment.
- Bachelor degree or similar level of ability demonstrated by education and experience.
This individual will establish and implement Quality and Process control systems in a job shop envirnoment. Document the requirements where needed and direct management of the quality team to ensure optimum lean efficiency standards.

Due to being in the Defence Industry, we are an ITAR manufacturing facility and require all full-time employees to be US citizens. AS9100 knowledge and certification is a must.
