Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment while following all GMP and food safety guidelines.
Essential Functions

1. Perform scheduled PM’s
2. Implement preventative measures as needed
3. Maintain inspection and PM records using SAP
4. Quickly evaluate and repair equipment failures
5. Initiate improvements to reduce equipment downtime.
6. Ensure efficient communications are provided to peers and managers.
7. Support commissioning and plant modification measures as needed.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule.

Required Qualifications
1. Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
2. Working knowledge of VFD’s
3. Ability to work safely with 120V and 480V systems
4. Demonstrated knowledge of 24vdc circuits and devices
5. Basic knowledge of conveyor systems
6. Ability to use basic shop and hand tools
7. Ability to replace chains, sprockets and bearings
8. Knowledge of building services and control technology
Preferred Qualifications
1. Completed maintenance apprenticeship program
2. 2 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment
3. 3-5 years of experience as a maintenance technician
4. Associates Degree in industrial Systems Technology or related discipline
