Job Description:
Bruiser's Complete Auto Care is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Auto Parts Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing our parts department, ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will be a top-tier performer who thrives in a high-volume environment and is passionate about meeting shop needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchasing: Source and purchase auto parts and supplies required for various repair and maintenance jobs.
- Price Shopping: Conduct comparative price analysis to ensure the best pricing and value for parts and supplies.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, track stock, and reorder parts as necessary to prevent shortages.
- Sublets: Coordinate sublet repairs, ensuring timely delivery and return of parts sent out for specialized services.
- Invoicing: Prepare and manage purchase orders, invoices, and billing for all parts transactions.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze regular reports on parts usage, costs, and inventory levels to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure timely delivery.
- Quality Control: Inspect parts upon delivery to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Customer Service: Assist technicians and service advisors with parts identification and procurement, providing excellent internal customer service.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of all parts transactions, including purchases, returns, and warranties.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and technologies to improve parts department efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in automotive technology or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Auto Parts Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
- Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.
- Ability to conduct price comparisons and negotiate with vendors.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
