Full-Time Medical Receptionist, prior experience at front desk. Multitasking and ability to take initiative and find solutions a must.
Seeking female college graduate applying for graduate school or medical receptionist for full-time position in a cosmetic plastic surgeon’s clinic and in-office accredited OR suite. This job is primarily a medical receptionist role but you will be asked to assist the other staff from time to time in the operating room or in clinic. Experience preferred but not necessary.
In the medical receptionist role, you will be mainly responsible for "running" the front desk. "Running" the front desk includes answering the phone, texts and emails from patients, following up with leads via phone, text or email, reviewing procedure costs after a consultation, collecting and keeping track of payments, "balancing the books" at the end of the day, and scheduling patients for surgical or non-surgical procedures. Expect to be busy answering lots of questions in regards to surgery, injectables and weight management program.
You will also be asked to help in the preop and intraop process. The preop process includes ensuring patients submit lab results prior to surgery. When proper consent is obtained from the patient, you may be asked to record procedures for social media (@realdrbae on Snap, IG and TikTok). The intraop process includes helping the surgeon, anesthesiologist and nurse practitioner in the operating room.
And as with all team members, she needs to be willing to help wherever help is needed, including sometimes chaperoning the doctor during exams of female patients, hence the need for a female to fill this position.
Must be comfortable with using a computer (Mac) and willing to learn how to utilize the electronic medical record system and scheduling/inventory software.
Experience:
Medical experience in a plastic surgery or dermatology office is PREFERRED. Bilingual: English and Spanish is PREFERRED.
Motivated, smart, bubbly, and interested in learning new things. Willing to take initiative by providing solutions to problems. Works well with others. Drama in the workplace will not be tolerated. We have an amazing core so we're looking for someone to complement our nurse practitioner and weight management program coordinator. Showing up late to work will not be tolerated.
Hourly wage for this one position. Starting at $27 per hour with experience. Full time. 2-month probationary period. 401k available after 1-1.5 years of full-time employment. No weekends, no call. PARKING available.
