You Are:
The Manager, Provider Engagement is responsible for the overall management of the coordination, implementation, execution control, and completion of medical practice documentation improvement activities at specified practice sites. Must be located in Puerto Rico as this role requires on-site visits to provider sites and interfacing in person with team. Ideal candidate will be located in West side of Puerto Rico near these locations Aguadilla, Bayamon, and/or Ponce.
The Opportunity:
- Assists with market development including identification of development opportunities and driving expansion efforts.
- Responsible for oversight of relationships and productivity within provider clinics/offices
- Access and navigate patient medical records (paper or electronic), and direct others in accessing patient medical records.
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, and developing personal growth opportunities.
- Communicates job expectation; plans, monitors, and appraises job results; coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees; and coordinates and enforces policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Assists with developing strategic goals by gathering pertinent business and market conditions.
- Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing, and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends, and recommending system improvements.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Participates in development of annual departmental budget, monitors budget, and identifies budget discrepancies.
- Research cause and makes recommendations.
- Responsible for balancing workload to optimize the effectiveness of the department.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to effectively interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning, directing, and monitoring operational processes; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting and encouraging the engagement process.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Continuous learning, as defined by the Company’s learning philosophy, is required.
- Certification or progress toward certification is highly preferred and encouraged.
- 7+ years’ experience of progressive responsibility in a Health Care environment with demonstrated technical knowledge that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities required.
- Supervisory or lead experience in Health Care preferred.
- Must have experience in an outpatient physician office or clinic management position.
- Previous training experience preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
- Advanced technical skills for use of hardware and software with a high degree of accuracy.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and your own reliable, insured, and registered vehicle. Required to drive to various locations thru out Puerto Rico.
- Excellent organization skills required.
- Excellent written and oral communication for representation of clear and concise results.
- Ability to manage a significant workload, and to work efficiently under pressure, meeting established deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with HCC Coding preferred.
- Strong time management skills.
- Must possess a high degree of accuracy, efficiency, and dependability.
- Must demonstrate leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff and interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to work with and empower others on a collaborative basis to ensure success of unit team.
- Ability to effectively exchange information, in verbal or written form, by sharing ideas, reporting facts and other information, responding to questions, and employing active listening techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet necessary deadlines.
- Strong relationship building and relational skills in working with Practices to persuade, explain and occasionally de-escalate.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Remote
Compensation Range: $$62,000-$77,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits.
