Medical Front Office Staff/ Receptionist Job Description (Bilingual)
Position Summary: Full-time position to work in medical office with responsibilities to include:
- Greet all patients and visitors
- Patient scheduling, appointment confirmations and communicating appointment instructions
- Answering and directing phone calls, taking and forwarding messages
- Checking in patients
- Collecting and recording patient information
- Maintenance of patient accounts by obtaining, recording and updating personal and financial information
- Daily patient chart preparation
- Patient online and in-office form management
- Confirming patient insurance benefits
- Obtaining authorizations for medical tests, procedures and surgery
- Medical record input
- Facilitation of incoming and outgoing office faxes
- Maintaining and Ordering Office Supplies;
- Maintaining reception area;
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Facilitating opening and closing of clinic
- Prepare, sort and distribute mail
- Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information
- Commitment to principle of ongoing improvement
Medical Office Receptionist Skills and Qualifications:
Prior Medical Office Experience a MUST; Electronic Health/Medical Records and Practice Management (eClinicalWorks preferred); Microsoft Word and Excel; Telephone Skills; Customer Service Skills; Time Management Skills; Professionalism; Ability to Multi-Task; Attention to Detail; Quality Focus
Language Qualifications:
Fluent Spanish speaking skills
