Job Overview:
We are a residential property management company seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team, responsible for ensuring the ongoing upkeep, repairs, and installations necessary for maintaining our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, solid technical knowledge, and the ability to perform a variety of tasks efficiently.
Duties:
- Perform minor repairs on stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and garbage disposals.
- Install ceiling fans, smoke detectors, garbage disposals, toilets, faucets, shower heads, peep holes, door locks, door sweeps, and mailboxes.
- Address low water pressure issues by changing faucet filters.
- Repair broken locks, doors, and windows.
- Unclog toilets, sinks, and tubs.
- Replace smoke detector batteries.
- Change light bulbs and fuses as needed.
- Install blinds and patch holes in walls.
- Report daily to the maintenance manager for assignments and escalate issues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Transportation: Must have own means of transportation.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Tools: Proficiency in using snakes, hand tools, and electrical tools.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues.
- Physical Requirements: Stamina and manual dexterity required for performing physical tasks.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification: Successful completion of a maintenance apprenticeship is required.
